About Self Service

Overview

  • Self Service allows End-users to interact with OpCon without having to engage their IT department

    • A Web Browser is the only software requirement
    • Self Service allows End-users to submit Requests without any knowledge of Opcon
    • Security based on Opcon Roles
      • The User only sees the requests associated with their Role
  • All information is stored within the OpCon Database

    • Provides Native Use of Events (All Events are eligible for use in Self Service)
    • Each Request can send multiple Events
    • Variables can be utilized in the Request Definition
      • Variables can be User Inputs
      • Validation rules can be associated with variables
